BOOST Stone Mountain

A Stone Mountain Village Investment Group

A City of Stone Mountain Downtown Development Authority/Main Street Stone Mountain Initiative

What do small business owners need more than anything? Support. Whether that is people eating in their restaurants, shopping in their stores or just passing along a post on social media. In Stone Mountain Village, we want to do more. We want to give our small business owners a little bump, a nudge…a BOOST.

An investment group has formed to provide grant money to small business owners and entrepreneurs in the Village. The concept is simple. Get together a group of investors who contribute a minimum of $100 twice a year. The money will go into a fund housed with the Main Street Stone Mountain (501c-3).  Investors are asked for a two-year commitment. That’s $400 over two years…$400 that will directly impact a small business in Stone Mountain Village.

The goal is to attract enough investors to award grants quarterly. There is no limit on the number of investors and if an investor wants to contribute more than $200 per year, bring it on!

Business owners apply for grants quarterly. About two weeks after each deadline the investors meet to review the applications. Grants will be made in amounts beginning at $100 and going up to a maximum of $1000.  Business owners can receive no more than $1,000 per calendar year. Grants will be made for things like signage, equipment or marketing needs. A complete list of eligible items / uses are listed on the grant application.
