Stone Mountain was chartered in 1839, making us the second oldest city in DeKalb County. We are located next to the South’s premier State Park, Stone Mountain Park, which is home to the largest bas relief sculpture in the world. The mountain is also the largest exposed mass of granite in the world. We have four City Parks as well, making the us one of metropolitan Atlanta’s “greenest” cities. |
