$500,000 Approved for City Projects
The Georgia Department of Transportation announced that both applications by the City of Stone Mountain for transportation enhancement projects have been approved. The City will be reimbursed $235,000 for renovations to the exterior of the train depot at 922 Main Street. The building currently houses City Hall. The second project reimburses the City $265,000 for improvements to the sidewalks from Fourth Street to Stone Mountain Park on East Mountain Street. The City’s will match these funds with $125,000 of local taxes. |
