PRESS RELEASE, COURT SESSIONS SUSPENDED, NO IN-PERSON ACCESS

The City of Stone Mountain reports that its Court Services Operations (including court sessions and case hearings) are suspended to in-person access through January 29th, 2021 due to potential COVID-19 exposure. City Manager ChaQuias Miller-Thornton was notified on Friday, January 15th, 2021 that a person attending a Stone Mountain Municipal Court session held at the City’s Municipal Building (City Hall) on Thursday, January 14, 2021 has tested positive for Coronavirus. Any person attending the session on that day may have potentially been exposed.
Deep cleaning of the City Hall facility located at 875 Main Street, Stone Mountain will be completed. Court staff will mail notices to defendants with their rescheduled court dates. The City is requesting that defendants whose mailing address has changed please email new address information to email@example.com.
